Hundreds of pages would not be enough to recount the life of Elia Stelluto and his dedication to his profession.
Born in San Giovanni Rotondo in 1935, since he was a teenager Elia Stelluto had the unique privilege to take photographs of Saint Pio in his daily life, despite the Saint's known reservation, and until the last day of the Saint's earthly life. Mr. Stelluto was even able to record the last Mass celebrated by Saint Pio.
All photographs authored by Elia were taken without the aid of a flash, given that Saint Pio did not accept the flash of cameras, but only with the support of lighted candles.
In all those years, the "boy photographer," as Saint Pio used to call Elia, collected thousands of photographs of Saint Pio and a few video recordings which allow the Catholic world to have access to fragments of the life of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina.
